Get RIPD: Religious Interpreter Professional Development,
a new series currently in production, will be available in part beginning
very soon. The producer, Josh Garrett, is Nationally Certified through
Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), the national certifying agency
in the U.S. The series is designed specifically for the professional
development and improvement of church interpreters. This series will
be beneficial to the beginner or the intermediate signer.

These videos can also be of help to interpreters wanting to improve their
receptive skills.

listing of chapter titles and a brief description of the book. This
item is a great resource for anyone getting started in their Deaf Ministry.
- Deaf Choir Video
- This video/cd was produced by Josh Garrett and the Singing Hands Deaf
Choir. The SHDC has performed for several conferences, revivals,
church services, special services, Hyles-Anderson College, Christian
Womanhood Spectacular, Pastors' School, and even a coffee shop. The
video consists of songs beautifully signed with full vocal and piano
accompaniment. A great video to add to your collection regardless if
you are hearing or Deaf. Some songs presented are interpreted into
more of an ASL structure while others are just signed for aesthetic value
and are signed using Conceptually Accurate Signed English. Either way,
you will all receive a blessing from this video.

Singing Hands: Songbook
for the Deaf
 - This book was actually made to benefit the interpreters at First
Baptist Church of Hammond, IN. These are old, familiar songs which can
be found in most any hymnal used by Fundamental churches. We have
tried to do our best in putting the songs into written English as you would
interpret them. Songs which are extremely complicated have been
"interpreted" and the meaning extracted. A valuable tool for any
individual interpreting music in church. Every church should have at
least one copy to assist the interpreters with interpreting hymns.
